Full Moon Virgo at 23° on March 14th will begin its Total Lunar Eclipse around 1am and precisely “blood shine” around 2:54am EDT. This Full Moon is also called the “Worm Moon” representing the moist Earth beginning to warm and open herself up to the sweet songs of Spring. The Eclipse is expected to blaze over six hours. This Virgo Lunar Eclipse will carve the path for three more Virgo Moon Eclipses in the next two years. Full Moons are always about illumination and a coming into awareness about something. When combined with eclipsing energy, these Moons are incredibly potent representing big changes to come and vibrate for long periods time into the months-years ahead. Moon Virgo energy is emotionally “crisis-oriented” and there’s a tendency towards criticizing, over-analyzing, over-worrying and catastrophizing, thus reading into too much stemming from emotional insecurity and the overthinking of things. But Virgo Moon is also connected to Ceres/Demeter who restored much abundance to the world, so there is hope!
Nevertheless, some kind of sacrifice or compromise may be required make ends meet. There’s also the need to discern and discriminate that which is no longer needed, nor efficient, in order to fully eliminate them. Interestingly, Full Moon Virgo will be opposite Saturn Pisces (Saturn representing govts, institutions, limitations/restrictions, rules, boundaries, structures, reality, Big Daddy, Lord of Time, etc.) and also “the Patriarch”. Expectations of others can run high during this time. Perhaps you may find a finger pointing at you these next few days, or someone tempted to punish or make you feel guilty, a lot of grief, or humiliate you in public. This energy can swing to extremes between – ‘in order to feel worthy and get my needs met, I need to feel pain, guilt and suffer first’ … or ‘I want others to hurt so they feel what I feel’ … or ‘I want to hurt others first before I get hurt’ – the sadomasochistic stuff this energy can carry. Saturn Pisces also represents a culmination of past structures, past authoritarianism and past conditioned consciousness that requires a deconditioning and dissolution of. With this opposition of Moon Virgo and Saturn Pisces, there’s a need to caution against a “Saviour Complex” where one’s ego thinks it can/will save the world…. Saturn Pisces opposite Moon Virgo can generate a lot of fear too, fear of what’s concluding and separating, and yet needs to be released in order to transcend to higher states of consciousness. By having faith and hope helps create some emotional security and stability while transformation of the butterfly in its chrysalis-in-waiting is underway.
I glanced at Doug Ford’s Natal Chart today (Doug Ford – Premier of Ontario, Canada – in talks today with Trump/Admin) and was fascinated by a few aspects that popped out — this Full Moon Virgo is going over his Mars, Uranus and Pluto right now in a full conjunction and to still be conjunct during peak hours of this Eclipse. Opposite his Mars Virgo lies his Saturn Aquarius sitting at 28°, an anorectic (urgent calling) degree as well. Aquarius is an archetype of freedom, the rebellion, individuation, the future, detachment/objectification, rejection, groups/peers, etc. while his Venus Libra (justice, equality) trines his Saturn Aquarius. Let’s just say that the lone warrior of all warriors with a laser beam focus is hard at work right now using his values, worth, justice, equality etc. for some kind of resolution and breakthrough, or possible breakup in the chaos of this tariff fight.
There’s a calling here for something to be completed, eliminated, and restructured in order to evolve. Whatever your situation, it’s important to stick to a plan, keep stepping forward, and not look back at the centipede’s 2 or 3 of 100 legs out of sync, figuratively speaking. Virgo Moons’ ruler Mercury is in Aries right now (Aries = identity) as well about to go Stationary Rx and we are in its pre-shadow phase right now where Mercury is about to begin its Retrograde on March 15th.
