Full Moon Aries rises as a Super Moon Oct 6th, just before midnight, aka “Harvest Moon” where farmers use the bright moonlit hours of the evening to finish yielding crops that reach their peak to prepare for the coming colder months. Such a Full Moon can affect the production of serotonin and melatonin this time of year in some people as well, which may cause problems with sleep and mood, making some feel off and on edge. The energy is an initiation of something involving balance and awareness in relationships and where one stands in them. The impulse is to also initiate new relationships, stand on one’s own and be more independent and self-reliant, have freedom and choice in relationships, and to take creative action with one’s own self-identity, whether it be individually or globally. Libra is also about alliances and perhaps this Full Moon Aries will release the projections of others in nonfunctioning relationships in the coming days/weeks to create better relations and partnerships. This energy can swing wildly back and forth to extremes and stir some pretty fiery emotions and it’s all Cardinal energy at play too = dynamism, freedom, and significant stress through crisis. The intention is to face the confrontations of others which is a balancing act because Libran energy never truly levels out and it’s only through imbalance that keeps things moving along ie. existence in Nature, the trapeze artist walking a tight rope. The problem with Aries Moon though is there’s a tendency to walk across a street before looking and this can result in accidents and mishaps, rushing out before ready. Its ruler Mars Scorpio is about power struggles, confronting one’s limits in relations with others and having a deep desire to dive into the hidden truths and secrets, and then to expose them, thus the desire for truth in all current events of today…. Mars Scorpio is also conjunct Mercury, and though it’s a wide conjunction, it can still lead to sharp-tongued communications, inconsideration of others, as well as cutting manipulations that instill dark fear and secrets, creating a lot of drama. Mars Scorpio can also indicate sexual deviation, crime, murder and violence possibly indicating an illumination in this regard. It can be obsessive as well and it is also quite primal and personal and about one’s will that’s powerfully infused with Soul’s will. Libra Sun’s ruler Venus Virgo is conjunct the SN (SN known as Past dynamics) so there could be something about past relationships being brought into light in order to separate the things that belong from the things that do not. It can also indicate past criticisms and service to others and the need for humbleness and humility in all relations. And finally, both Mars and Mercury are in a last quarter square to Pluto Aquarius Rx indicating a “crisis of consciousness” stemming from past relationships and the deconditioning of past ways and a shedding of skins via rebelling or protesting against past relations with others, in order to let new ways through and seed some kind of a future ahead. The way forward is not clear. It’s difficult to trust the process. Societal expectations and their dictates can no longer guide us. So this energy is quite individuating and future oriented, thus it holds the seeds of the future based on a repolarization of consciousness in full awareness, and the only way through it is by taking creative action via relationships with others.
