Full Moon Aries – Hunter Moon!

Cheers to the Full Moon Aries that will arrive Oct 17th at approx. 7:27:12 am. This Full Moon is also a Supermoon and called the Hunter Moon aka the Blood Moon (where the Moon appears red) and where people would hunt for food during the night for the coming colder months. In mythology, there is the goddess Artemis who represents the hunt, the wilderness and wild animals, nature, vegetation, childbirth, care of children, and chastity, and eventually became known as Selene, another name for the Moon. And during Full Moons, there is enough light through the night to continue hunting until the hours of early dawn. Even animals use the Full Moon to hunt because it gives them enough light to see their prey through darkness. This Full Moon is also squaring Pluto and Mars opposition creating a struggle and a “crisis in action” vs “crisis in consciousness” between fulfilling the needs of one’s personal will vs one’s Soul’s will. The signs involved are on the Cardinal Axis forming a Grand Cross between Libra Sun, Aries Full Moon, Capricorn Pluto at its anorectic/desperado degree, and Cancer Mars in a very nurturing/familial/motherly energy. This is very powerful energy involving family and close relationships. It’s about initiation and taking action on and feeling an impulse to bring something into awareness. There’s a lot of desire to transform and push through obstacles too, such as feeling torn between needing self-reflection/time alone, and having to be there for and/or nurture others/relationships. There’s also a need to be responsible and accountable in relationships where you may find yourself having to take a step back into the past in order to face a current issue or to bring something into full recognition and acknowledgement. Pluto Capricorn’s ruler, Saturn Rx, is in Pisces right now and forming a last quarter trine to Mercury Scorpio, which may trigger and expose and illuminate communications of mistruths, deceptions, manipulations, and/or fantasies in relationships with others and also oneself creating possible trust issues. When looking at this Full Moon Aries in the sky while coming out of the arena tonight, the transiting Comet aka Asteroid 2024 PT5 aka Mini Moon, which though you’re not likely to see the Comet/Asteroid with the naked eye (especially since the Moon is so bright), is casting a very special and beautiful, rare light over the Moon making it “shine” with mystical brilliance. Peace and Love.
