Mercury stations Retrograde (“Rx”) on 4 August 2024 and runs until August 28th when it will station Direct. And I would give this Rx an extra couple of days just before and after it has gone Direct, as Rx energy often resonates. This Rx will begin in Earthy Virgo and step back into Fiery Leo on August 14th where it will stay in Leo for its remaining Rx until it stations Direct in Leo. When in Virgo, the familiar self-doubt and not feeling good enough stuff may be re-experienced, as well as self-criticisms, guilt, What If?…thinking/worrying, overanalyzing and overthinking things, victimization, self-sacrifice, and/or reading into things that lack clarity to then catastrophizing them inward, etc. This may cause problems in managing stress, anxiety and digestion as Mercury is connected to the nervous system and intestines, especially when in Virgo. During its time in Virgo, organizing and eliminating the things that don’t belong to you via discernment and discrimination can have a positive effect. Focusing on letting them go, practicing self-forgiveness, self-compassion and self-reflection will help to simplify things in order to transcend personal crisis. When Mercury Rx enters Leo, there may be stumbles when expressing oneself or taking on too much becoming overwhelmed by it. There’s also the possibility of not feeling recognized or special enough when giving to others, or to feel laughed at and ostracized by those who don’t really know/understand you resulting in a tendency to crash into oneself. There may be too much of the me-self stuff too or attention seeking, and Mercury Leo can think and talk big and extravagant. This may take place when expressing creative thoughts, ideas, opinions, etc. The idea is to objectify and let go of negative stuff and instead spend time gathering info, researching, working on creative projects, etc. And with all Mercury Rx’s, computers often go awry for no reason at all, lights can suddenly flicker, traffic jams/crashes are more frequent, and there may be some setbacks or delays in travel. So try to plan ahead, go slow, be flexible and patient. And because Mercury also rules commerce, especially when in Leo regarding investments, and forming a square to Uranus Taurus during its Rx transit too, we may see more radical fluctuations and changes in the stock market/finances. Remember to read things a few times over and cross t’s and dot i’s to reduce errors. Mercury Rx is all about having to redo, review, re-examine, reflect, reimagine, refine… and any other kind of “re” stuff you can think of. You may find yourself taking more deep breaths than usual!
