Venus and Jupiter, two benefic planets of love, faith, and the search for higher meaning in what we value are transiting Cancer right now and dancing together in a tight conjunction. Castor and Pollux are known to be Gemini fixed stars but due to the 2000-year precession (complex astrological term), they are lining up with this conjunction within the constellation of Cancer around 20-24° with a 2-3° orb. This conjunction brings a heart-warming and abundant energy that can trigger romance making you feel lucky in love, or feel lucky in family matters, flowing gently and easily. But more importantly, this conjunction is a reminder of nurturing connections, warm intentions, and the good things in life. Venus and Jupiter join up about once every 13 months and their conjunction is considered a very fortunate alignment and doorway to better times. But it can also feel ‘too good to be true’ with Jupiter’s expansive energy to bring not only the need for awareness but to look at the reality of where things actually situate in order to see this conjunction’s blessings and the wisdom that Jupiter can offer. Cancer reflects the emotional body, homelife/home, family, inner ‘lunar’ child, and our roots and ancestors, as well as the Homefront. Venus being closer in orbit to the Earth will likely outshine Jupiter but if you have binoculars and depending on your location, you may see them together the next several nights. On another note, back to the story of Castor and Pollux, the ‘Twins’ formally in Gemini astronomically, are twin brothers known to be a mischievous pair getting into trouble all the time. With the Nodes of Venus actually in Gemini right now (Gemini being home of the Castor and Pollux) at about 18-23° conjunct Castor and Pollux fixed stars, this Venus and Jupiter conjunction may stimulate some further unpleasant and unreal news regarding the homeland or trigger stories of past lies and mistruths where deeper traumas are being illuminated upon and the need for further truth in them. Cancer also squares the natural energy of Libra ie. relationships, alliances, as well as enemies. The square to Chiron Aries right now, Chiron known as the Wounded Healer trying to heal a collective wound that cannot be healed within Aries, is reflecting the struggle and need for personal sovereignty to resolve past collective anger, rage and injustices, and to balance one’s needs vs others’ needs. I see this blessed conjunction as the need for self-care and to nurture personal truths and how you can value them amongst the energies of attraction and opportunity that lie ahead. Peace and Love.
